Take your snacking to the next level with with this simple idea for a fun and creative procrastisnack! You can’t possibly be productive on an empty stomach, so put down the bag of boring chips and treat yo’self to a delicious plate of healthy mediterranean-themed snacks that will give you the brainpower to get through any task!
This entire snack can be assembled in 5 minutes or less.
Here’s what you need:
I recommend half of a thinly sliced red bell pepper and 1-2 persian cucumbers sliced into four strips. It’s a (kind of) proven fact that food taste better when it’s been sliced properly, so don’t hesitate to take the time to prepare your veggies right.
I personally like Trader Joe’s Smooth and Creamy Hummus, and for this snack I went with a roasted red pepper flavor. Good decision.
Stuffed Grape Leaves/Dolma:
For a canned product, these are actually delicious and a super easy way to make you feel like a fancy mature adult who eats foods *vine leaves stuffed with rice*. Also found at Trader Joe’s.
Invest in a good quality feta– it will make a serious difference in the tastiness of your snack. My favorite is Montchevre Goat Milk Feta because it’s friendly for #lactoseproblemz. You can find this cheese at Whole Foods!
Because vegetables can’t be the only means of transportation for hummus and feta into your mouth, there needs to be bread. Heat a piece up in the microwave for 20-30 seconds and slice into four triangles. Thanks again, TJ!
After you’ve gathered all of your materials, assemble them on a large plate in whatever way you desire!
You could create a well-organized and straightforward snack plate:
Or a more abstract and creative design snack plate:
Or even a funny face snack plate because there is no age limit on appreciating this:
Enjoy your procrastinsnack as you drift off into mediterranean bliss. 10/10 would snack again!
